FAQs
If you are new to pole fitness and aerial hoop, not sure if it's for you or have a lot of questions in your mind, here are some of the most common questions we get asked about classes. However if you still have any questions after reading the following please do not hesitate to contact us, please allow 48 working hours for us to reply to your email.
Q. Can I join a class even though I haven't got any experience?
A. Yes we welcome all beginners, no experience required. But if you do have any pole experience even if it's just one lesson please do let us know so we can prepare a good lesson for you in advance.
Q. Does it matter how old I am or what size I am or my gender?
A. NO. We welcome all genders, ages, shapes and sizes!
We have a very flexible syllabus that can be tailored to your level, allowing you to get the most out of your classes and to ensure you are always progressing at your own pace.
Q. How many people to a Pole/Hoop/Sling?
A. We work on a maximum of 2 people per pole and 12 students per instructor. But it all depends who turns up on the day, But sharing a pole is ideal as you can spot each other and make new friends, plus you won't get too tired! For aerial hoop and aerial sling classes we work 3 students per hoop because it requires a lot more rest and spotting!
Q. What do you need to bring/wear?
A. We recommend you wear whatever you are most comfortable in!
For aerial: leggings and a vest top or long sleeve top with sports bra, you have to cover your skin as we grip with clothes (for sling you MUST cover your armpits and you MUST not wear anything sharp that could rips the fabric, like zips and jewellery or long sharp nails).
For pole: leggings and a vest top with sports bra, we recommend that you wear tight fitting shorts underneath. This is because you need a certain amount of skin contact to grip the pole with the legs (but shorts are not required for your first session)
All jewellery must be removed before using the equipment that includes: rings, bracelets and belly bars (when exposed by wearing a crop top). We recommend you leave them at home so there is less risk of you loosing it.
Trainers are optional as we are normally bare feet, but sometimes we do some high impact cardio. Please bring a small towel to wipe the poles with and any grip you might require (please contact us to find out more about grip aids). It's essential that you bring a bottle of water to stay hydrated!
Q. How long is the class?
A. The class is one hour long including a warm up at the start and a cool down at the end.
Q. How do I pay and book a class?
A. All spaces must be booked and paid for in advance via our online booking system:
Q. What if I don't normally exercise and don't have any upper body strength or flexibility?
A. That is the best part, you will gain strength/flexibility and discover muscles you didn't even know you had! All levels are welcome and all classes are designed for mixed ability. All you need is regular practice and determination to achieve in pole fitness and aerial hoop.
Q. What if I can no longer make a class that I booked?
A. All you have to do is leave the class you are booked onto 24hrs before is due to start to be able to reschedule for another time (within the expiry date) if you do not give the booking system 24hrs notice to cancel you will loose that class. Please note due to our limited availability unfortunately we cannot refund any bookings (unless you have a doctors note saying you are no longer able to exercise).
