Nervous about booking your first class?

So you finally decided to take the plunge and book your first pole or aerial class! ✨🎪✨ But you go to the booking system and start the booking process, then the nerves kick in… What if I can’t do the moves? What if I can’t find the studio? Will everyone be watching and judging me? Am I too weak, too unfit, too inflexible or too heavy to attend? What if I don’t have anyone to go with and I won’t know anyone there? … (type here other worries).

Firstly, all of the above is completely normal and we all feel the same when we are about to try something new! But please don’t worry, I can 100% guarantee that:

  • our venues are easy to find and you will have the address details in every class description (but if you have any questions we are always here to help)

  • you will be welcomed into class

  • you will achieve moves which are suitable for your level

  • you will move your body and have fun

  • the instructor is always around and ready to help or answer questions

  • you will meet friendly and welcoming people

  • the class atmosphere is very relaxed and you will work at your own pace

  • the equipment is safe to use for all shapes and sizes

So what happens in your first pole or aerial class? 🤔

As you arrive and the instructor will welcome everyone into class. The instructor will then guide you through a warm up, followed by conditioning exercises, on or off the equipment.

Then the instructor will allocate you to your equipment, classes run with two students per equipment, this allows you to have a rest in between.

The instructor will then teach everyone a new move on the equipment. The instructor will demonstrate the move and then break it down (explain what to do and how you can build it at your own pace and work to your level). The instructor will usually teach between 3-4 new moves, transitions and sometimes a combination of moves together, this all depends on the type of move, length of the combo and student level.

After the move is taught you will have time to practice your new move, taking in turns with your class buddy. After a few minutes of practice time, the instructor will move on to the next move.

At the end the instructor will finish the class with a cool down to stretch your muscles. And before you go the instructor will ask you how you got on and if you have any questions.

I hope this helps you feel a little less anxious about booking and as soon as you start the class all your worries will fade away!

We look forward to seeing you in class soon and if any questions please don’t hesitate to get in touch 😃
